Isaiah Abolin

Isaiah Abolin, New York-based, 3x Grammy-winning engineer and mixer noted for being one of the top engineers working on both large (orchestras) and small (solo artists/bands) projects in a variety of musical styles for film and television.

Isaiah Abolin is currently nominated in the Best Musical Theater Album for the 2026 Grammys for recording the Original Broadway Cast Albums of Death Becomes Her and recording and mixing Gypsy. Previously, Isaiah received several Grammy Awards for Best Musical Theater Album for Into the Woods, for Best Orchestral Performance for New York Youth Symphony – Florence Price: Ethiopia’s Shadow in America; Piano Concerto in One Movement • Valerie Coleman: Umoja • Jessie Montgomery: Soul Force and for Best Musical Theater Album for Hadestown.

 

Additionally, Isaiah has worked on Broadway shows including Moulin RougeMatilda The Musical, The King and I (featuring Tony-award winner Kelli O’Hara), West Side Story, Cinderella, Evita, Frozen, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Donna Summer Musical, Book Club, Mean Girls, Sing Street, Tina Turner, Once Upon A Mattress, Thelma and Louise, and Soft Power. Other artists and projects he has worked with include Chris, Mrs., Rodrigo y Gabriela, The Mars Volta, Paramore, Juliette Lewis, Swizz Beatz, Shawn Mendes, Renee Fleming, Joshua Bell, Dr. John, Lang Lang, Barbra Streisand, Maria Schneider, Gregory Porter, Tom Kitt, The Mivos Quartet, and The Manhattan Jazz Orchestra. On the television side, Isaiah recorded music for several seasons of  The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
