Fraser Hill’s work as an A&R consultant in most revered amongst the Canadian music industry. He worked his way up to Senior Director of A&R at EMI Music Canada (later transitioning to Universal Canada once EMI was sold), where he was responsible for signing platinum artists Serena Ryder, These Kids Wear Crowns, Kreesha Turner, and Shawn Hook. After 21 years at EMI/Universal, he started his own company, frazietrain productions, inc., an independent music consulting company specializing in Artist and Repertoire Consulting and Artist Development across all genres, for artists signed and unsigned.

Through his company, Fraser has enjoyed significant success with Juno-winners Serena Ryder, Dear Rouge, Shawn Hook, July Talk, Donovan Wood, and James Barker Band, CCMA-nominated artist Wes Mack, and Nikki Yanofsky. Fraser was also the Casting Director for the Canadian television music series called The Launch.

Before A&R, Fraser engineered and co-produced artists like Red Rider, Tom Cochrane, The Grapes of Wrath, and Anne Murray. Fraser, along with long-time partner Rick Hutt, co-produced and engineered several of The Northern Pikes’ Gold and Platinum recordings, including Snow In June, which earned them a Juno Nomination for Engineer of the Year.
