Isaiah Abolin

Isaiah Abolin, New York-based, 3x Grammy-winning engineer and mixer began his engineering career in the top commercial recording studios in New York, working with some of the biggest names in the industry. That experience has given him the expertise and comfort to work on both large (orchestras) and small (solo artists/bands) projects in a variety of musical styles.

Most recently, Isaiah received a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album for Into the Woods and a Grammy Award for Best Orchestral Performance for “Works By Florence Price, Jessie Montgomery, Valerie Coleman” performed by the New York Youth Symphony. Isaiah now has 3 Grammy Awards; the first being for Best Musical Theater Album for Hadestown.

 

Moulin RougeMatilda The Musical, The King and I (featuring Tony-award winner Kelli O’Hara), West Side Story, Cinderella, Evita, Frozen, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Donna Summer Musical, Book Club, Mean Girls, Sing Street, Tina Turner, and Soft Power. Other artists and projects he has worked with include: Rodrigo y Gabriela, The Mars Volta, Paramore, Juliette Lewis, Swizz Beatz, Shawn Mendes, Renee Fleming, Joshua Bell, Dr. John, Lang Lang, Barbra Streisand, Maria Schneider, Gregory Porter, Tom Kitt, Mivos Quartet, and The Manhattan Jazz Orchestra. On the television side, Isaiah has been recording several seasons of music for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
