Elliot Scheiner won his 8th Grammy  for Best Surround Sound Album as he mixed Beyoncé’s self-titled release in 5.1 surround sound.




Two JDMI clients were nominated for Grammy awards this year.

7x Grammy winner Elliot Scheiner was nominated for Best Surround Sound Album category as mixer on Beyoncé’s self-titled release.

6x Grammy-winning producer Frank Filipetti produced, recorded and mixed Aladdin which is up for Best Musical Theater Album.



Joe Zook-LA- Mixed 7 tracks on the upcoming One Direction album, Four, due this coming November; the #1 single for UK artist Ella Henderson “Ghost”; Birdy’s “Light Me Up” single; singles for US artists Colbie Caillat, Brett Dennen and Andy Grammer; Modest Mouse’s upcoming 2014 release; One Direction’s Midnight Memories double-platinum album including the triple-platinum single “Story of My Life,”; mixed OneRepublic’s Native double platinum-album including the quadruple-platinum single “Counting Stars”; mixed five tracks on the latest Phillip Phillips album, Behind The Light.

Hugh Padgham-London – Hugh was just in the studio working with producer Ron Fair on Major Bruno.

Larry Gold-Philadelphia- Wrote arrangements for Michael Jackson’s Xscape, debuting at #1 in the UK; Mariah Carey’s, Me, I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse and Jennifer Lopez’s  A.K.A. release. Writing arrangements for Emile Haynie’s upcoming all-star project and Mat Kearney’s single.

Elliot Scheiner-CT- Mixed Trey Anastasio’s upcoming solo album and is in the midst of producing and mixing Ben Folds upcoming orchestral project with the Nashville Symphony. Mixed Beyoncé’s self-titled release in 5.1 surround sound and the Original Broadway Cast album for Rocky.

Jay Newland-CT- Currently producing an all-star recording for Universal France entitled We Love Disney, a pop take on all the popular Disney film songs sung by Gregory Porter, Melody Gardot, Nikki Yanofsky and many others.  Mixed Missy Higgins’ upcoming 2014 album OZ. Engineered and mixed Sara Bareilles’ version of “Your Love Is Lifting Me Higher”; mixed Gregory Porter’s Grammy-winning Liquid Spirit album and recorded and mixed three new Gregory Porter songs for 2014 release.

Lawrence Manchester-NY- Recording and mixing music nightly for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Mixed four songs for upcoming Bette Midler album; mixed Idina Menzel’s “When You Wish Upon A Star” single and recorded and mixed Billy Porter’s Billy’s Back On Broadway album.

Rob Mounsey-NY- Arranged music for James Taylor’s upcoming 2015 album, the all-star We Love Disney release as well as Tom Wopat and Alejandro Fernandez’s upcoming albums. Produced and arranged Billy Porter’s Billy’s Back On Broadway album, arranged music for Chromeo’s White Women album and produced and arranged Idina Menzel’s “When You Wish Upon A Star” single for Disney.  At the 2014 MLB All Star Game, Rob arranged “Forever Young” for Idina Menzel who sang it live on FOX television as part of the pre-game festivities.

Frank Filipetti-NY- Produced and mixed both Original Broadway Cast albums: Aladdin and Bullets Over Broadway as well as Frank Zappa’s 200 Motels Live. Frank is producing the original cast album for Side Show in December.

Adam Dorn-LA- Produced and remixed tracks on Nikki Yanofsky’s Top Five charting album; Little Secrets, including the title track and produced several songs on the debut release of Morgan James’ entitled The Hunter.

Kevin Killen-NY- Currently in Amsterdam working on Blue Diaries with producer Patrick Leonard.  Mixed Suzanne Vega’s new album, Tales From the Realm of the Queen of Pentacles and new material from Rachael Sage.  Recorded Ben E. King and Take 6’s version of “Stand By Me”.

Dave Eggar-NY- One of the finest cellists on the planet, Dave is on the road with Phillip Phillips; has just returned from his own Appalachian tour and recently performed with Phillip Phillips, A Great Big World, Greg Holden and Lulu Gainsbourg. Completed a new original musical show with Bylle and Robert Redford and co-composers Chuck Palmer and Will Calhoun (Living Colour) entitled “The Way of the Rain”.

Just released:  Aftermath:  Amy Lee featuring Dave Eggar – Music from and inspired by the film War Story.

Nic Hard-NY- Currently in the studio producing the new album for Ghost Beach, mixing Prom, producing and mixing Stave. Nic has mixed the upcoming EP for Lucy Woodward and produced and mixed We Chief, Her Majesty, Bill Laurance and Erin K albums all in 2014.

Eric Robinson-LA- Producing new music with Matt White.

Brian Moncarz-TO- Produced, recorded and mixed Ian Moore’s latest EP. Producing and mixing Sons of Revelry, producing and mixing TimeGiant, mixing Pepper the Crow, producing, recording and mixing SF rock band The Great Work. Charted on Canadian Active Rock Radio with “Go Home” single by Bleeker Ridge.

Mario J. McNulty-NY- Produced, recorded and mixed two albums for Earl Slick, mixed three singles for Kites and Komets debut and mixed Good People of Planet Earth. Currently in the studio with Glen Matlock from The Sex Pistols.

Nathaniel Hare-NY- Just back from mixing house sound, as he does every night in New York City, for The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon during their stay in Universal Orlando Resort.

Matty Amendola-NY- Produced the debut EP for 14-year old guitar prodigy Eddy Davis as well as the debut EP for Kerchief.  His studio, 825, has just opened in Brooklyn.

Justin Glasco-LA- Songwriter/Producer/Engineer/Musician who tracked Lindsay Sterling’s #2 album debut on the Billboard charts; played on the track “A Lyke Wake Dirge” featuring Matt Berninger (The National) and Andrew Bird for the season finale of AMC’s TURN. He also played on Andrew Bird’s new release Things Are Really Great Here, Sort of…

Elliot Scheiner won his second Emmy in 2013 in the category of Outstanding Sound Mixing for Nonfiction Programming as Music Mixer for History of The Eagles Showtime special.
