Producer/Songwriter/Multi-Instrumentalist Justin Glasco spent the first 6 years of his career immersed in the creative scene in the Music City. It was those formative years in Nashville that offered many opportunities for Glasco to explore the diverse musical terrain. Entrenched in the CCM and singer/songwriter scenes as an in-demand session player and live musician, Glasco segued deftly into songwriting and production. Always seeking new inspiration and the challenge of a new venture, he relocated to Los Angeles in 2008.
Justin continues to be the trusted producer behind many of the best songwriters and artists that LA has to offer including Cary Brothers, Gary Jules, Dan Wilson, Adrianne Gonzalez (The Rescues,) Garrison Starr, Tyler Hilton and the indie rock collaborative The Roof Beam Carpenters. He’s also the drummer featured on Andrew Bird’s latest Things Are Really Great Here, Sort Of…CD and Matt Berninger (the National) and Andrew Bird’s collaboration “A Lyke Wake Dirge” for AMC’s Turn.
Previously, Glasco produced the Cary Brothers single “Free Like You Make Me” which found a home in both the CW’s One Tree Hill and Vampire Diaries. That same year brought the opportunity for Glasco to produce songwriter long-time friend Garrison Starr’s record “Amateur” which continues to be a fan favorite.
As a writer, he has recently been working on new music with Canada’s Juno-winning Artist and Songwriter of the Year (2014) Serena Ryder and Meiko, Joshua Radin, Cary Brothers and the aforementioned Peter Katz among others.
Glasco recently co-wrote “Til The Stars Come Out Again” with Garrison Starr, which was performed on ABC’s smash hit Nashville (Episode #410) by actress/singer Maisy Stella (playing Daphne Conrad).
As an instrumentalist, Glasco has lent his skills to such releases as Christina Perri’s A Thousand Years (4x platinum) Avril Lavigne’s recent, self-titled release and the new record from Tonic front man Emerson Hart Beauty In Disrepair.
