Jannek is a German born, US-based, Berklee grad composer, producer, and mixing engineer, who has been on an ascending career path since moving to New York City. Working alongside legendary music producer Tony Visconti (Bowie, T. Rex, The Good, the Bad & the Queen, Angelique Kidjo), Jannek continually refines his skills by not only studying at the feet of the master but by becoming a part of his stellar production team.
Not only did he closely collaborate with Hollywood director Brett Morgen along with the David Bowie estate to prep all the necessary Bowie stems for production, he also mixed tracks for the forthcoming untitled Bowie film (2023), including the opening title.
Jannek has also worked closely with an internationally-renowned jazz pianist/vocalist (whose name we cannot reveal at this time), engineered Lee “Scratch” Perry’s last album, Guide To The Universe, played guitar for Boy George, and produced and arranged the new album for the renowned tenor sax player Donny McCaslin (Blackstar).
His extensive musical background and experience allow him to create in many different genres, ranging from jazz to folk to pop to rock to classical, all the while staying true to his own artistic vision as an ambient electronic and neo-classical composer. The artists he works with praise Jannek’s ability to closely listen and collectively collaborate bringing their musical conceptualization to fruition. All in all, Jannek has proven to be a truly trustworthy and forward-thinking partner in any project.
